The Celestial Gardens is a unique horticultural project with the solar system as its theme.
18 municipals gardens have been created since 2005 in Témiscouata.
Each municipality chose which element of the solar system it represented based on the name of the village, its history, topography etc. Every village highlights an element or phenomenon related to astronomy, for example, the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights (Le Jeune), the Perseid meteor shower (Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha!), the Moon (Auclair with its phases) etc. Each garden has information and interpretation panels and sculptures by local artists.
