Ancestral orchard Maison-Notre-Dame-des-Champs
Visit the oldest apple orchard in Témiscouata and discover some forgotten flavors of the past!
It is impossible not to fall under the spell of the Maison-Notre-Dame-des-Champs ancestral orchard. Its large apple trees are almost a hundred years old and its heirloom cultivars produce exquisitely tasting apples with excellent nutritional and culinary properties.
Sale of apples and U-pick
The site is well maintained by a team from the Verger patrimonial du Témiscouata, a social economy enterprise that works for agri-food development in the region. Depending on the rate of ripening and volume of production, the orchard opens for picking around the end of August and closes at the beginning of October. It is also possible to buy pre-picked apples and produce made from them on site. Before going, check on the Facebook page of the Verger patrimonial du Témiscouata to find out the dates and opening hours of the orchard.
