Exhibition 2021:

For the 2021 tourist season, the Temiscouata Museum is proud to present the temporary exhibition “The Arrowhead Sash at your fingertips”, a traveling exhibition about the Ceinture Fléché (also known as Arrow Sash) produced by the Marius-Barbeau Center.

According to the Encyclopedia of French Cultural Heritage in North America, "the arrowhead sash is a strong symbol of French-speaking culture in America" and the historian E.-Z. Massicotte described it as "a masterpiece of the domestic textile industry in Canada". A practice with mysterious origins and loaded with heavy symbolism for many, the creation of arrowhead sashes and clothing continues to this day.

Ethnographic collection

The ethnographic collection of the Témiscouata Museum is composed of 1347 objects that have been donated by the population of Témiscouata. This collection represents the history and ways of life of the inhabitants of Temiscouata from the 19th century to the present day.
