Description
Fort Ingall is a faithful reconstruction of a British fortification built in 1839, at the height of the border conflict between the United States and Canada. This unique historic site offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the military atmosphere of the 19th century and discover regional history from a new perspective.
Visitors can tour the reconstructed buildings, explore the permanent exhibitions featuring artifacts unearthed during archaeological excavations, and learn more about the lives of the soldiers of the 24th Regiment.
Throughout the season, the Fort offers a rich program of activities: historical reenactments, shooting demonstrations, themed workshops, and encounters with guides in period uniforms.
To extend the experience, a historic dormitory and period room offer an immersive stay in the heart of the fort, a unique opportunity to step back in time.
